MIRAFLORES | COLOMBIA

A brilliantly sweet natural, bursting with flavour and texture. Think an assortment of berry wine gums with grape-like acidity, notes with a subtle booziness—reminiscent of liquorice allsorts. The delicate florality is akin to Turkish Delight, complex but incredibly sweet!

Producer Info

Miraflores is a vibrant community overlooking Finca La Aurora, home to Reinel and Felipe, the drivers who transport coffee harvests to Villamaría’s buying point. It’s also where the largest number of Villamaría’s coffee producers live, cultivating coffee at an average altitude of 1,800 MASL. From this highland region, producers work against a backdrop of the snowy peaks of El Cisne, El Volcan Nevado del Ruiz, and Santa Isabel—mountains that frame the area’s rich agricultural landscape.

Just a few kilometres from Manizales, sits Jamaica, the Raw Mateiral drying station that plays a central role, processing the harvests of 30–50 coffee-producing families from the surrouding areas including Miraflores, whose farms sit even higher than the station itself. At 1,300 MASL, Jamaica’s warmer climate creates ideal conditions for honey and natural coffees. Equipped with a Nuna dehydrator and mechanical drying systems, the station ensures precise humidity and temperature control, enabling careful production of washed, honey, and natural lots that reflect both the terroir and innovation of the region.
