BIRTHED FROM OUR HEART TO SEE COMMUNITIES IMPACTED BY COFFEE, WE'VE EMBARKED ON 4 WEEK COFFEE TRAINING EXPERIENCE WITH INDIVIDUALS FROM UNDERPRIVILEGED COMMUNITIES.
WE PROVIDE THEM WITH A STIPEND DURING THIS TIME THAT COVERS THEIR FOOD & TRANSPORT, AND ONCE TRAINED THEY SPEND TIME INTERNING AT SOME OF THE BEST CAFES IN JOHANNESBURG.
OUR FIRST CANDIDATES WILL BE READY FOR INTERVIEWS FROM JANUARY 2025 AND WE CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE IMPACT OF THIS INITIATIVE!

Hope is lively and energetic bringing a smile to every situation. She is considered and pays attention to detail, striving to do her best in every scenario. She applied herself to learning all she could about coffee and the coffee industry, which is evident in all the skills she has acquired!

Lazola has a knack for connecting with people and is willing to take responsibility in situations. He applied himself wholeheartedly to learning both the theoretical and practical aspects of coffee and this is evident in how he approaches service. He's enthusiastic and has a great team spirit!

Wandile is a thoughtful, considered individual. He is unafraid to ask questions in order to make sure he understands a task. He has embraced an entirely new field of learning and has made it his goal to understand it all. He is quiet but friendly, sure to get on well with a team and customers alike!

Mathapelo is a sincere and hardworking individual. She is focused and determined to do her best at all times. She is detail oriented and attentive to both customer needs and what is happening behind the bar. She has applied herself thoroughly to learning these new skills and will continue to grow!

Bonga is a charismatic and out-going individual, with an efficient workflow. He handles pressure well and is quick to make decisions. He thrives in environments that challenge him to grow, which is evident in how quickly he picked up the skills required to be a barista. He has a drive to be the best in all he does!
