This edition of The Seasonal was born out of a desire to create a coffee that wow's the senses in every way! We were looking to build a seasonal that offers a kaleidoscope of flavours and aromas and this does just that. Think black cherry stumbo pops, with champagne truffles and a bag of Rascals. It's a burst of colours on the palate with an incredibly syrupy texture, complex and deeply sweet.
Costa Rica
Las Lajas Perla Negra is a wildly expressive cup that perfectly showcases the Chacón family’s innovative approach to processing. Bursting with notes of fresh kiwi, boozy pineapple and green apple chewy sweets, the coffee opens with vibrant tropical intensity before settling into layers of lime and lemon cordial-like acidity. Although bright the cup remains beautifully balanced by an incredible syrupy texture that coats the palate with dense sweetness and a rounded mouthfeel.
Ethiopia
This incredible coffee is our first honey process coffee from our partners at Ephtah Specialty Coffee. Imagine an array of fruity sweetness with a deep dark rum boozy quality and incredibly syrupy texture. We're tasting tutti-fruity sweets, like a handful of jelly tots popped into your mouth with the beautiful fresh acidity of honeydew melon. This coffee is complex and mind-blowing, get ready for a taste revolution!
Ethiopia
Our first washed coffee from our Ethiopian partners, Ephtah Specialty Coffee, exhibits all the classic qualities we love about washed Ethiopian coffee. It's bright, it's clean, it's complex and unique. Think fresh juicy nectarines with a delicate bouquet of white florals like honeysuckle and jasmine. A sweet demerara sugar note rounds out the cup with a bright lemonade citrus characteristic!
Rwanda
From our good friends at Muraho Trading Co in Rwanda, this Anoxic Natural from the Gisheke washing station reminds us why it's a coffee we return to year after year. Cherries undergo a controlled fermentation under a water pillow before being dried as a natural process coffee for 4 to 5 weeks. Sweet and tropical, you're in for a real treat with this one!
