One of our most intriguing coffees of the year, this coffee from the Bulambuli region of Uganda was processed as an anoxic black honey. The coffee is fermented in a low oxygen environment for three days before being pulped and then shade dried with its mucilage as a black honey. When black, this coffee is sweet, tropical and juicy. With milk though it's like drinking a Piña Colada on a beach in the Caribbean - crazy!

Producer Info
From the Lugandan word for 'to explore' Kulambula is the result of an experiment to produce more desirable, special process coffees despite a rainy season which heavily impacted drying times and made efficient processing methods essential.
The end product is a coffee that is delightfully sweet and bright. A subtle coconut quality blends with more classic fruity flavours for a really unique profile.
