This course covers the SCA Barista Skills Foundation and Intermediate Course material in one course across the four days. It covers the foundations of coffee and espresso making as well as the more advanced understanding of the practical application of the impacts of varietal, processing, origin, brew parameters, brew recipes, water quality on espresso brewing. It also handles milk teaming techniques and basic latte art.
Duration: 9am to 3pm across 4 days
Prerequisites: The are no prerequisites but a few months experience in a working environment is beneficial. Good for baristas and managers looking to pursue excellence in their workplace.
Inclusions: Exam and certificate fee, lunch & snacks each day, all equipment and necessary ingredients.
Certification: 2 Online exams requiring 70 & 80% to pass, a practical exam pass on each section. Contributes 15 points to SCA Coffee Skills Diploma
