one of my favourite coffees
Every now and then our lives are punctuated by something special, my first sip of Cambell Road was exactly that. As coffee lovers, we received Campbell Road as a gift and what a gift it was.
Many coffees list what the flavours and notes are, few (as we know) actually deliver. At first it was the packaging that caught my attention (isn't it charming?). This signalled that I might be in for something different, and when I read the "We taste" which lists the notes of Milk Chocolate, Red Berries, Vanilla and Black Current, I was like "Wow, this combination sounds delicious".... (I also started to salivate a bit.)
When you grind the beans, the aroma is simply beautiful, and you already know it's going to be a special coffee.
Campbell Road over delivers by being incredibly well balanced, with each of the flavours being distinct, yet blending perfectly. My first sip arrested my attention, and left me smiling, you know the kind of experience, when you just smile uncontrollably? I sat back and was simply grateful to be enjoying something so terrific.
I have purchased Seam many times since (incl Campbell Road of course). I've met some of the Joburg team, and when they say considered coffee, they mean it, the brand itself is tangible in the people who work at Seam, and it is a joy to encounter them and the energy of their mission, their product and those they serve all coming together.
