Buka Bula is a coffee produced by 214 small holder farmers in two adjacent regions of Uganda, Bukalasi and Bulambuli. The Kwigate washing station was established in 2019 in order to process some of the best coffee coming out of the Mt Elgon region.

The coffee, once purchased from the farmers, is transported to the town of Busoba where it is processed as a natural. The cherries are dried on raised beds until they reach 15% moisture content. They are then removed from the beds and placed in sealed containers for two days before the drying process is completed under shade.
